White Paper on four key elements of customization and design of surge protection equipment.

T
oday’s evolving technology has opened the door to a variety of power quality problems faced by every company – over-voltages, under-voltages, surges, sags, and other voltage irregularities that cause down time, financial loss and lost opportunities. While no single product exists that will eradicate all the potential power quality issues faced each day, there are solutions. Solutions offered by Meter-Treater, Inc.

Meter-Treater does not use a secret formula to provide the solutions, rather we use four characteristics that experience tells us is vital to support our customers: communication, flexibility, quality, and teamwork.

Communication is key. Meter-Treater’s interaction with the customer revolves around learning the customer’s expectations, how the product is to be utilized, and what critical features the customer requires. Site visits, teleconferences, and other means may be used to facilitate Meter-Treater’s understanding of the customer’s needs. Throughout the research, design, and prototype stages, feedback from the customer is essential. Meter-Treater uses the customer’s feedback to strengthen a product’s design and performance abilities, thereby manufacturing products that will solve the customer’s power quality problem(s). Communication is always an on-going process.

Flexibility is important. Meter-Treater has the capability of not only designing new product in answer to power quality problems, but to alter aspects of its existing product line quickly. This proficiency is only one way that Meter-Treater can meet deadlines while still meeting customer specifications. In fact, our flexibility extends beyond product innovation. Meter-Treater is well known for its ability to be flexible in areas such as training, marketing, packaging and delivery of the product. Our staff is an excellent resource for the customer, able to answer questions, handle concerns, conduct site visits, provide application support, etc.

Quality, as a characteristic, stands alone. A quality product is derived from quality components and a sound engineering design that is not only cost efficient when manufactured, but has been tested for purpose. In order to manufacture a superior product, even the smallest detail can not be overlooked. This is why Meter-Treater has an 8-point inspection process that exceeds industry standards, guaranteeing the quality of the product delivered.

Teamwork is an integral part of Meter-Treater, Inc. Coordination between the various departments (engineering, sales, marketing and production) provides us with different viewpoints on a product, its capabilities, its ability to be manufactured cost-effectively, and its marketability.

During the last few years, more and more companies are turning to Meter-Treater to provide solutions to their power quality problems. Many of those solutions are now OEM products by Meter-Treater, Inc., encompassing many diverse solutions for power, telephone, signal, data and grounding applications.

Communication. Flexibility. Quality. Teamwork. When carefully mixed, these four ingredients form a working solution. Meter-Treater designs specific long-term solutions that are manufactured to meet our customer’s power quality concerns. If you have a power quality problem, call Meter-Treater, Inc. We can provide the solution.
